After the conclusion of Higan 2006,
careful discussions lead the organisers to
continue the project and decide new dates for a
2007 edition; at this point the next step,
almost due, is the foundation of a cultural
Association to fulfil the initial goals.
The Higan Cultural Association wants
to provide a meeting point of Oriental culture,
arts and traditions, promoting especially
the contact between those visitors who are both
curious and passionate for the Far East and the
associations, agencies, schools and
professionals that put their knowledge and
craftiness to use offering services, courses or
products respecting the cultural and traditional
aspects.
The Higan Cultural Association wants
to add value to an “information exchange”
among different arts and traditions,
allowing everybody involved to gain new
knowledge and experiences in related arts, and
in unexplored fields.
Another key goal of the association
is the encouragement of socialisation, made
easier as a result of common passion. The
primary and most demanding ambition of The Higan
Cultural Association is the implementation of
the annual Event Higan, “the other shore”.
